ON ALL OF THE EARLY TARGAS THERE IS ALWAYS SOME CORROSION AT THE BASE OF THE TARGA ROLL BAR
FORTUNATELY THIS CAR IS AN EARLY MODEL SO THE ROLL BAR IS STAINLESS
AS ALL PRE1976 911s THERE IS RUST
BUT THE DRY STORING HAS MEANT SHE HAS FAIRED BETTER THAN MOST
SO SHE IS OFF TO THE BEAD BLASTERS THIS WEEK TO START THE PROCESS
THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CHASSIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NO RUST AND STILL HAS THE FACTORY PROTECTIVE COATING
THE EXHAUST WILL NEED REPLACING AFTER ALL SHE IS 48 YEARS OLD SO THATS JUST ROUTINE MAINTAINANCE
THE RECAROS WILL BE RETRIMMED KEEPING THE ORIGINAL INSERTS THE REAR ARE MINT SO WILL BE LEFT AS IS.
THE TARGA TOP WILL BE COPLETELY RESTORED BY HARRISON TRIMMERS
